Review Of Sixth Former Life

YEAR 2006

May

First day of experiencing the life of sixth formers. From that day onwards, I was destined to study and complete my career as a student in that school, SMK Permas Jaya. Have to wake up early in the morning to wait for the school bus. Later in the bus, I caught my eye with a guy who wear different school uniform from us. He is now one of my best friend, Chin. Also, I met with a senior who like anime a lot. He was very friendly and help us a lot throughout the whole year. When reaching the school bus-stand, I finally met with my best friend and long time friend. During the orientation week, I was sitting nearby a guy who other claim to be very disgusting. From the first day onwards, we chat a lot cause he was a former student in my primary neighbouring school. A lot of thing happen during that two week time but time really flies fast. It's holiday again.

June

Back from holiday but most of my friend has left that school. Still, there are some other friend who continued studying there. It is finally time for us to get into our classroom and met with our new friends. When we first saw our form teacher, honestly I was shock. She was actually sister to my other friend who was very good in her studies. our form teacher, Mdm. Gan, was a very thin and beautiful teacher. She look very young but the fact is she already married with a child. Whenever she teach, she will be able to attract the attention of the male species in the class. Then comes our maths teacher, Mr. Gan. He look ferocious when he first step into the classroom but he revealed his true character after a few period. He actually is a very entertaining teacher. He like to joke, play and story telling. Even so, he is very serious when comes to teaching. On this month too, we was introduced with the common paper. It was a tough paper and we do a lot of assignment. We were taught by headmistress of the school. She was very strict and give us a lot of assignment. We were asked to present a topic in front of the class in a group. Initially, we were so shy that we only look in the paper and read out the content. After a few class with her, we all have the courage to present in the class. Other than that, we were introduced with MUET. The teacher who taught us was Mdm. Punithe. She was a very good teacher but very strict. Maybe it is due to her status in the school. She was a disciplinary teacher. She will force everyone in the class to read an article out loud to cultivate our braveness and smoothen our speaking skill. Finally, the final subject, Biology. Our Biology teacher was Mdm. Norhashima. She was a lecturer in university before this. She teach us wholeheartedly hoping that we can all score in this subject.

I was also been elected as the class monitor. I also don't know why they choose me as class monitor. Strangely, it was the suggestion of the whole class. They all choose me without knowing me. It was strange but fun. Together with assistant monitor, we walk around the school searching for teachers.

July

The test is coming. Everyone was so scare with the test as we all still don't know what kind of format is coming out. Everything was so unfamiliar. In the end, the result we got was very bad. Mostly people fail. still there are some who were able to pass with excellent result. They are the one who top in the class throughout the year. I was so impress with their super memory. More people leaving the school and 'departed' to colleges to continued their studies. Some of them were very lucky as they having the opportunity to study for JPAA.

August

Classmate were all help with the decoration of the class for the Independent day. Even so, we can only make simple decoration as we were using the class temporarily. Also, we were preparing for the final exam which held on October. Seeing all our senior struggling for their MUET making us even more tense. They were all telling us how hard the test was.

September

Election of PERTINA take place. Everyone was so enthusiastic. They work so hard to get voted. It was a very good experience for them. During that period, every candidates was working so eagerly so that he was elected. It was very challenging as there will be candidates from each class. They have to promote themselves class by class, pasting poster and give speech in the assembly. As for me, I am just doing nothing but to see them busying in publicity. I also start to work. Work in Jusco as a brand promoter. It was fun as I will go to work after school. It was a bit rush sometimes but it was really meaningful.

October

Form 3 pupils were sitting for their exam. Most of the class take turn to rest but not for us~ lower six. We study more than other in that term. I think it is due to the long Orientation week. We waste a lot of time during that two week I suppose. Year end exam also take place on this month. All I can say is Oh My God!!! I don't do well in the exam. I got really low score. Really sad that moment. So still working as a promoter. In the week of Raya, we Chinese were working full time all days. It was a very great moment.

November

The final moment before the term end. Relaxing time for everyone except for our senior who were sitting for STPM and junior who sitting for SPM. It's hard on them as I sat for SPM before. The heart pumps so hard and making me so nervous when I was sitting for the exam. Also, I stop as a promoter for that brand. I'm now a freeloader until I help my friend to work as a promoter as he wanted to take leave. On the day of J-card day, we work for around 14 hours.It is the longest working time I ever had. I just help my friend for roughly a week then I am back to a freeloader.

December

This was the longest holiday I ever had ever since I start working in the age of 16. I didn't go to search for a jobs as no company will employ a worker who can only work for a month. So staying in the house and go shopping whenever I am free.

YEAR 2007

January

The starting of a new year and a new school term. Life is getting more and more stressful. More topic to be learned and more exercise to be done. Parthi and me was escape from becoming monitor for this new term. Instead of us, Jon has become our scapegoat. He was push to become the monitor for the new school term. Pity him but that is nothing we can help out. We all came back from the holiday with a extremely good feeling. Not long after the school start, we have to go for sport day practice. It was held in the afternoon. As so, I just go and do nothing. Just usual warm up because the weather was not suitable. Raining all the time. Due to the sport day, we were also forced to train the younger batch for marching and first aid. So even during weekend, we have to be in school for the training session.

February

We have to arrange our time very well so that we have time for the training session. As a treasurer of the society, I have to urge my committee members to collect fee from members. We also have to restock our first aid kits. This is the first year our society spending big amount of fund to buy stuff. Money also spend to buy more uniform to borrow to our members. It was an honour when the school praise our society for being active again.

March

Found out that we were having a test on this month and it was SETARA. So scare as my basic was not strong enough. This cause the tension feeling in the class again. Everyone was busying studying and discussing on the subjects we study. No one seen has time to play around. Due to this, no one were willing to help collect the fee from afternoon session. This make me no choice but to ask a junior to press on the afternoon session committee members to collect ASAP.

April

I am praying so hard starting from this month. MUET speaking test was around the corner. Busying doing revision and practicing for the exam. We then heard that our MUET teacher has transferred to other school. It was all happen so abruptly that we don't even caught the last glimpse of her. Not long after her leaving, we got another MUET teacher. She was a Malay lady who has the blood line of Indian, Chinese and Malay. Finally, we sat for the speaking test. Everybody was so damn nervous. Luckily, the topic I got was quite easy. So I can perform quite well in the test.

May

After the speaking test, we have to sat for the mid term exam again. Along with the mid term exam, we also have to sit for the other three paper for MUET. Two kind of test at the same time. It is hard to coup with the exam but Goddess of Lucky was smiling on me. The exam question was on average level and I was able to answer the paper well. We were also have to spare time to rehearse and perform for teacher's day. Wow, I am a teacher. The last scene of the performance was fantastic. Paper flakes flow down from the tower and it's easy to imagine how nice it was.

June

It's time again for the society to prepare for annual event. The Flag day was around the corner. We need to prepare the donation box and sending a big stack of letters. Getting permission from the school and from other school really a tough thing. Even have to send someone to attend the meeting held at the headquarter. After getting all the material, what we lack was people. We need volunteers who can sacrifice their time for this event. So what we do was approaching our classmate. They were just too helpful and willing to help out. thanks to them, we got enough people to get donation.

July

Flag Day started. Time scheduling become so important. We are rushing against the time as the time given for this event was just a week. After a week of struggling, finally we can seethe result. We got a good amount of donation. Thanks to them, all my plan work out. they were just my savior. After that night, forty percent of the donation were added into our society fund. Still, we have to concentrate more on our studies. We were having test every month now. MUET result also out. I am so happy when I got the result. It was my expected result.

August

Well, we are making decoration for the class again. We also work very hard to complete a banner for Independent day too. Everyone in the class has help out. Getting permission from our teacher to colour the banner during schooling time and borrowing mural colour. In the end, our banner got second prize. It was splendid. We were so happy as our effort finally paid off.

September

It's our class glamorous month. We were awarded with a few prize. All in a day that make us simply unbelievable. We have no idea at all how they give score but it was really a good day for us. Also, mostly people in our class are having their birthday celebration this month.

October

It's the final month for us to accelerate. Have to strive real hard for the exam. One more month and the actual exam will take place. No time to waste anymore. Doing exercise and trial paper everyday. Discussing on all the trial paper around the country make our collection richer.

November

It is time for us to face the final exam. Before that, we still doing exercise and discussing on the trial paper from other state. Discussing on the paper really helps a lot. We were able to absorb as much information as we can. Exam time and we were really scare. So scary. Tips and spotted question are flying around like rumors. Luckily nobody believe in the tips. Nothing in the tips come out. Still, there are some question that can be spot. During that moment, I can only read and read and read all the time.

December

On the beginning of the month, STPM finally over. The day after the exam over, we were happily gather in our form teacher house for celebration. It is a combine party of Farewell Party and Christmas Party. We were reunite for the last time but after that night, we have not met till now. I can't say that I didn't met with everyone. Just that most of them were out of sight. They were all so busy looking for jobs. Don't know when we all can met again.
